Shami Ahmed (represented by Adrian Davies) and Champion Investments (represented by Bitu Bhalla)

In 2004 the controversial Lancashire tycoon Shami Ahmed - founder of 'Joe Bloggs', one of the leading jeans brands in the UK - was involved in several complex financial cases. One of these concerned Champion Investments Ltd, who in a High Court hearing on 5th August 2004 before Judge William Blair QC (elder brother of then Prime Minister Tony Blair), sought to have an earlier Tomlin Order set aside.

Barrister Adrian Davies represented Shami Ahmed in this case, and successfully argued that the earlier order and settlement should not be set aside.
